The Gold Monster 1000's search coils are fully waterproof, allowing you to submerge them in water for stream, creek, and shallow river prospecting. However, the control box is not waterproof and must be kept dry. This makes it excellent for wading in shallow water while gold prospecting or detecting along shorelines, but you'll need to be careful to keep the electronics above water. For fully submersible detecting, consider our waterproof metal detectors designed for deeper water use.
