The detector comes with two Lithium-Ion batteries included in the package. Lithium-Ion batteries provide longer runtime and more consistent power delivery compared to traditional alkaline batteries. Battery life will vary depending on usage conditions, but these rechargeable batteries offer excellent performance for extended detecting sessions and can be recharged hundreds of times.
