VLF detectors can find gold, but they're not the best choice for serious prospecting. They work well for larger gold jewelry and nuggets but struggle with tiny flakes in mineralized soil. For dedicated gold hunting, you'll want higher frequency models or pulse induction detectors designed specifically for gold.
