The ACE 400 can detect coin-sized targets up to 8-10 inches deep in average soil conditions, with larger objects detectable at greater depths. Your actual depth will depend on soil mineralization, target size, and ground conditions. The included 8.5" x 11" DD search coil provides excellent depth and target separation for most hunting situations.
