In most recreational hunting conditions, the Nokta Legend metal detector and Minelab Equinox 800 produce similar results. The Equinox 800 has a longer track record and wider experienced-user community. The Legend costs less and receives free firmware updates that have improved it since launch. Neither machine is definitively better for all use cases. If budget is a significant factor, the Legend is a capable choice.
