The XP DEUS II uses Fast Multi-Frequency technology for performance across all terrain types including salt beaches and variable soil. The XP ORX uses selectable single frequencies without simultaneous multi-frequency. The DEUS II is fully waterproof to 65 feet; the ORX is not rated for full submersion. Both use the same wireless platform architecture - the wireless experience is comparable. The ORX is best for dry-land hunting in moderate ground conditions where single-frequency performance is sufficient and full waterproofing is not required, at a meaningfully lower price than the DEUS II.
