Multi-IQ simultaneous multi-frequency handles wet salt sand effectively, it is waterproof to 5 meters for wading in the surf, and the beach mode is well-tuned for high-conductivity environments. The Nokta Legend is a capable alternative at a lower price. For dive detecting beyond wading depth, the XP DEUS II at 65 feet is the only serious multi-frequency option.
