Standard Bluetooth headphones introduce latency that causes audio-to-swing timing errors when detecting. Detector-specific low-latency wireless systems from Garrett (Z-Lynk), Minelab (WM08 module), and XP (built-in) are designed to work without this issue. These require compatible headphones rather than generic Bluetooth headphones. The XP DEUS II WS6 Master headphones are part of the detection system itself. For detectors with a standard headphone jack and no proprietary wireless, wired headphones are a better choice than generic Bluetooth for accurate signal timing.
