The Minelab X-TERRA Pro is fully waterproof to 5 meters and suitable for surf wading and beach use. It handles dry sand effectively and is capable in moderately challenging beach conditions. For the most demanding salt surf conditions where multi-frequency stability gives a clear advantage, the Minelab Equinox 800 or 900 is the better-suited machine.
