The Vibra-Tector 740 uses pulse induction technology rather than VLF. In highly mineralized ground, wet black sand beaches, and saltwater wet sand conditions, VLF-based pinpointers generate false signals or lose sensitivity - the same conditions that push full-size detectors toward pulse induction technology. If you have found that your standard pinpointer performs unreliably in the salt and mineral-heavy conditions you detect in, the Vibra-Tector 740's PI technology addresses that specific problem. See all pinpointers.
