RAIT (Ratio Alarm Indication Technology) on the Quest XPointer increases the frequency of audio beeps and vibration pulses as the probe tip gets closer to the target, giving you precise pinpointing feedback. When you first detect a target in the hole, the XPointer emits slow beeps and gentle vibrations. As you move the tip closer to the coin, ring, or relic, the beeps and vibrations accelerate into a continuous tone or buzz when the tip is directly over the target. This proportional response lets you zero in on small targets faster than a simple on/off alert. Both audio and vibration modes use RAIT, so you can pinpoint accurately even with detector headphones on by feeling the vibration pattern through the pinpointer's grip.
