The 3-inch ruler molded into the Quest XPointer's probe lets you measure the diameter of coins, rings, and small relics in the field without carrying a separate measuring tool. When you recover a coin, place it against the ruler to measure coin diameters to help identify denominations. Ring sizes and small relics can also be measured to help with identification or documentation. The ruler helps measure small finds in the field. This feature is particularly useful for relic hunters who log dimensions of buttons, buckles, and other artifacts, or for coin hunters who want to estimate a coin's denomination before cleaning it.
