This depth advantage is most noticeable on larger targets like silver dollars, relics, and cache items where the larger electromagnetic field penetrates deeper soil layers. Actual depth gain depends on soil mineralization, target size, and orientation. In highly mineralized ground or trashy sites, the depth advantage narrows because larger coils are more sensitive to ground interference. For maximum depth in low-trash environments, the LD38 is the strongest choice in the Legend 2 coil lineup.
