The 11x7 elliptical footprint is longer front to back than side to side, so overlap sweeps for complete coverage to avoid leaving undetected strips. Walk at a steady pace, one step per swing, and avoid lifting the coil at the ends of your arc because that reduces depth and can cause you to miss edge targets.
