You do not need to recalibrate or update firmware when switching to the C23 coil. Simply swap coils and begin hunting, no calibration required. Detach your existing coil, snap the C23 into the lower rod connector, and power on your detector. The CF77's discrimination patterns, sensitivity settings, and audio profiles work identically with the C23 as they do with the factory coil. This plug-and-hunt compatibility makes coil swapping quick and straightforward in the field.
