The KR24 uses DD geometry and is fully waterproof for saltwater hunting. The advantage of the KR24 in saltwater environments is maneuverability: the elliptical shape fits between rocks and into tide pools where larger round coils would snag, and the non-buoyant design keeps the coil submerged in moving water without fighting buoyancy.
