The XP ORX runs on lithium rechargeable batteries built into the coil and remote control, delivering up to 20 hours of runtime on a single charge. You charge both components via USB cable using any certified USB adapter or computer connection, no proprietary charger required. The coil battery powers the transmit-receive circuitry and wireless radio link, while the remote battery powers the LCD display and control processor. Charge time varies; refer to manual for details. The batteries carry a 2-year warranty, and XP sells replacement battery modules if you need to extend the detector's service life beyond the original cells.
