The XP ORX runs approximately 20 hours on a full charge of its lithium rechargeable batteries. Both the coil and the remote control have internal lithium cells that charge via USB cable; you can use any certified USB wall adapter or plug into a computer USB port. Battery life varies with settings. The detector provides battery status monitoring so you get advance warning before power runs out mid-hunt.
