Use the 6" x 10" Elliptical DD coil for ground coverage on open washes and benches where mineralization is high, as DD geometry handles hot ground better than concentric. We run it 80% of a typical day. Switch to the 6" Round Concentric coil after the DD has narrowed in on a productive zone and signals are starting to stack on each other. The concentric's tighter detection cone isolates individual targets in trashy patches, producing crisper target separation between small nuggets and ferrous fragments.
