The ICON-X offers three ground balance modes: grab (automatic one-time calibration), manual (you set the ground phase value), and tracking (continuous automatic adjustment as soil changes). In red clay and mineralized ground, we start with grab for quick setup, then switch to manual when the ground phase shifts mid-hunt. Tracking mode works well in plowed fields where mineral content varies row to row. The ground balance settings are accessible from the main menu, and the sunlight-readable display shows the current ground phase value so you can see when the soil changes.
