The XP Deus includes automatic tracking ground balance, manual ground balance, and pumping (semi-automatic) ground balance modes. Tracking mode auto-adjusts as you walk across mineralized soil or beach sand, manual mode lets you lock a ground balance setting for consistent performance in uniform terrain, and pumping mode samples the ground when you pump the coil over clean soil. The detector also offers a beach mode preset that compensates for wet saltwater sand, and you can save ground balance settings in each of the nine factory programs.
