The ICON-X ships with six factory programs optimized for coins, relics, jewelry, and general-purpose detecting, plus six user slots where you can save your own discrimination, reactivity, audio, and ground balance settings. The factory programs are turn-on-and-go presets that work well in most parks, fields, and beaches, and the user slots let you dial in custom configurations for specific sites, trashy tot lots, mineralized prospecting ground, or wet salt sand, without rewriting the factory defaults. This is double the program count of the base ICON, which offers three factory programs and three user slots.
