The VX7 offers two recovery speed settings: Standard and Fast. Recovery speed controls how quickly the detector resets between adjacent targets. Fast mode lets us hear a separating high tone right next to a low iron grunt in trashy sites like colonial cellar holes, competition hunts, and urban curb strips littered with bottle caps and shotgun shells. Standard mode is smoother in clean ground and maximizes depth on isolated targets. We toggle to Fast when working iron-heavy relic fields and back to Standard for wide-open farm fields and beaches.
