The Garrett Goldmaster 24k ships with a 6" x 10" DD elliptical waterproof search coil mounted to the detector. The DD format gives a narrow ground footprint and good target separation around hot rocks, making it the all-purpose choice for desert wash, beach gold, and mixed terrain. For tighter spaces, dense trash, or bedrock cracks, prospectors can add the optional 6" round concentric coil, which concentrates detection energy into a smaller footprint. The dual-coil package is available separately for detectorists who want both coils from the start.
