Z-Lynk is built into the Garrett AT MAX, and the included MS-3 headphones pair automatically on power-up. There's no dongle, no aftermarket adapter, and the round-trip latency is low enough that our ears track the audio with the coil sweep, not behind it. The wireless link is what separates this machine from the rest of the AT line, and it's one of the reasons detectorists stepping up from the AT Pro choose the AT MAX. The detector also includes a 1/4 inch headphone jack for wired use underwater, since the MS-3 is not submersible. For in-the-hole recovery, we strongly recommend pairing this detector with the matching Garrett Pro-Pointer AT Z-Lynk handheld so the audio routes through the same wireless headphones.
