The 8.5 x 11 inch Raider coil is the larger of the two stock coils and covers more ground per swing, gets more depth on coin-sized and relic-sized targets, and stays stable in salt. We pick the Raider for parks, open fields, beaches, and any permission where coverage matters. The 6 x 11 inch Viper coil is narrower and better suited for trashy ground, tight cellar holes, and tree-line work where maneuverability trumps depth. Many serious users keep both coils in rotation and swap based on site conditions. This SKU ships with the Raider pre-installed; the Viper is sold separately or included in other Apex bundles.
