The Garrett ACE Apex runs six selectable frequencies from a single coil: 5 kHz, 10 kHz, 15 kHz, 20 kHz, a simultaneous Multi-Frequency mode, and a dedicated Multi-Salt mode for wet sand and saltwater beaches. Lower frequencies (5 kHz, 10 kHz) hit harder on large silver and copper targets, while higher frequencies (15 kHz, 20 kHz) pull small gold and thin hammered silver. The Multi-Frequency mode blends responses for stable target ID across mixed soils, and Multi-Salt strips out conductive saltwater brine that overloads single-frequency detectors.
