The Garrett ACE Apex offers six search modes plus a Pinpoint mode: Zero (all-metal, no discrimination), Coins (generic coin hunting with pull-tab rejection), US Coins (displays quarter and penny icons under the notch scale), Jewelry (accepts mid-conductors like gold rings), Relics (minimal discrimination for buttons and brass), and Custom (user-defined notch pattern). Each mode pre-loads a notch discrimination pattern optimized for that target class, and you can modify the pattern on the fly or save your own pattern in Custom mode. The detector remembers your mode and notch settings across power cycles.
