Iron Check lights up the iron pixels on the ACE 300's discrimination pattern display even when the audio has been notched out. This lets you see at a glance if a high-tone signal is a clean target or a wraparound from a deep iron mass like a horseshoe or square nail. On relic ground where iron trash is heavy, we watch the Iron Check graphic while we sweep and dig anything with a non-iron pixel mixed in. The feature is most useful in Custom mode where you have full control over the notch pattern.
