The adjustable frequency on the ACE 300 lets you fine-tune the 8 kHz operating frequency to eliminate or minimize interference from power lines, other detectors at club hunts, or electrical sources near the site. When two detectors are within a few feet of each other and both are chattering, stepping the frequency a notch on one machine usually clears the interference. This is not a multi-frequency engine, it is a single-frequency VLF with a narrow tuning range around 8 kHz.
