Urban parks with scattered bottle caps and foil, beach zones with moderate iron and aluminum debris, and relic sites with mixed trash densities are ideal environments for the IM24. The 9.5-inch length provides wider sweep coverage than the 7.5x4 IM19 while maintaining better target isolation than the standard 11-inch round coil. Detectorists working open fields or deep relic sites typically prefer the standard coil for maximum depth, while those hunting extreme trash environments often choose the smaller IM13 or IM19.
