The Viper ships with a 6x11 protective coil cover that guards the coil face against scratches when you're sweeping gravel, rocks, and rough terrain. The cover stays secure during normal swinging and protects the coil from damage in areas with sharp rocks or construction debris. We run the cover on every hunt to extend coil life. The cover adds minimal weight and doesn't interfere with detection depth or sensitivity.
