The larger coil size is designed to provide increased depth on targets in open ground compared to the stock LG30. The 13.5 x 12.5 inch footprint allows you to cover more ground efficiently while maintaining excellent target separation and depth capabilities on coin-sized and larger targets. The wider sweep coverage reduces the number of overlapping passes required to search large sites. The LG30 remains the better choice for trashy parks where target separation matters more than raw depth.
