Use the 14-inch Double-D when you're covering large open areas, working in mineralized or salty soil, or hunting environments with high electromagnetic interference. The wider diameter saves time on expansive claims and old mining sites where you need to grid significant ground. Switch to this coil when the stock 11-inch monoloop chatters excessively on hot rocks or becomes unstable in conductive ground after rain.
