The Xtrem Hunter offers iron discrimination capability for moderate-sized ferrous objects, a feature uncommon in deep-seeking two-box detectors. The system can reject some iron trash and construction debris, reducing false signals on industrial sites and historic battlefields. However, discrimination performance decreases with target depth, and very large iron objects at extreme depth may still generate a strong signal regardless of discrimination settings. The iron rejection (IAR) control in the Xtrem Hunter menu allows you to adjust the discrimination threshold based on site conditions and target priorities.
