The DEUS II's coil is waterproof to 20 meters and its FMF multi-frequency mode stabilizes target ID in wet salt sand. However, the WS6 headphone pod is only rainproof and cannot be submerged. Additionally, because wireless radio signals cannot travel through water, you will lose audio communication if the coil is fully submerged. For wading or surf hunting where the coil goes underwater, you must install the optional XP waveguide antenna cable to route the signal from the coil up to your headphone pod.
