The S-Telescopic Dive Shaft extends from 45cm when collapsed to 75cm when fully extended. Most divers set the shaft to the extended position before entering the water and leave it extended for the duration of the dive, as the extended length provides better reach and leverage during sweeps. The telescoping design allows the shaft to be adjusted between these two positions as needed. The compact collapsed length is useful for transport and storage, while the extended length provides the working reach needed for effective detecting in shallow water environments. The shaft maintains its set length during normal detecting operations.
