The wristband is rainproof, meaning it protects the WS4 or WS6 control pod from rain, splashing surf, and surface moisture during wet-weather hunts. It is not submersible and should not be used for underwater detecting. The WS4 and WS6 control pods themselves are not rated for submersion, so the wristband's rainproof construction is designed to handle surface water only. Beach hunters working the wet sand line and park detectorists hunting in steady rain will find the wristband adequate for those conditions, but divers and shallow-water waders should use XP's dedicated waterproof housing instead.
