The XP Deus II remote ships with two waterproof caps for the rear connector port: a grey cap rated for land use or shallow submersion to 1 meter, and a red cap rated for deep underwater use to 20 meters. The grey cap is the default for park hunting, dry sand, and wading scenarios where the remote might get splashed but not fully submerged. The red cap provides higher pressure resistance for scuba diving, surf hunting, and river detecting where the remote will be underwater for extended periods. XP recommends swapping back to the grey cap after deep dives to prevent unnecessary wear on the red cap's seal. Both caps thread onto the same XP multi-feature connector on the back of the remote.
