The Deus II remote battery delivers up to 25 hours of runtime on a full charge, though actual duration varies with your audio output settings. Running the remote's internal speaker at high volume drains the battery faster than using wireless headphones with the speaker muted. Backlight brightness and program-switching frequency also affect battery life. In our field use, a weekend of park hunting (12 to 15 hours total) typically leaves 30 to 40 percent charge remaining. The remote recharges fully in three hours via the included USB cable, and the rear XP connector displays battery level when you plug in the charging cable or check the remote's settings menu.
