No, the Deus II remote is not compatible with the original XP Deus (Deus I) detector. The Deus II platform uses a different wireless protocol, expanded frequency range (4 to 45 kHz versus the Deus I's 4 to 28 kHz), and redesigned FMF processing that the Deus I hardware cannot support. The Deus I remote and Deus II remote are physically similar but use incompatible firmware and communication standards. If you own a Deus I and want to upgrade, you'll need the full Deus II system (remote, coil, and headphones) rather than swapping individual components.
