The cover does not interfere with the coil's waterproof rating. The XP Deus X35 13x11 coil and the Deus II FMF 13x11 coil are both waterproof coils, and the cover sits on the outside of the coil shell without penetrating the seal or creating water-entry points. Detectorists who wade creeks or hunt wet sand can run the cover without compromising the coil's submersion capability. The cover itself is not sealed or waterproof-rated, but it does not need to be because it does not contact the coil's internal electronics.
