Replace the cover when you see cracks, tears, or significant wear that exposes the coil housing underneath. Inspect the cover after each hunt for damage, as a compromised cover no longer protects the coil housing from impact. Replacing the cover before it fails completely prevents coil housing damage that is far more expensive to repair than the cost of a new cover. The replacement interval depends on your hunting conditions and terrain type.
