Yes, the XP Deus II BH01 bone conductor headphones are required for underwater metal detecting with the wave guide kit. The bone conductor headphones are sold separately and are not included with the wave guide kit. These specialized headphones enable you to hear target signals while submerged, working in conjunction with the wave guide's extended antenna system. Without bone conductor headphones, you will not be able to detect underwater even with the wave guide installed.
