It is safe to leave the cable plugged into the coil's charging port when the other end is disconnected from power, though we typically unplug both ends for storage to reduce connector wear. Disconnecting the cable after charging completes helps maintain connector condition over time. Leaving the cable plugged in and powered for extended periods when not needed is unnecessary and may slightly accelerate connector oxidation in humid environments. Unplug after charging completes for best long-term connector health. Storing the cable separately also makes it easier to grab when packing for a hunt and reduces the chance of forgetting it at home.
