The Wave Guide and its red waterproof plug are rated for underwater use to a maximum depth of 20 meters (65 feet). The XP Deus II coils carry the same 20-meter waterproof rating, and the remote control is fully submersible to this depth when sealed properly. Detectorists working rivers, lakes, and coastal shallows rarely exceed 10 meters in practice, as visibility and bottom composition limit effective hunting depth.
