The molded plastic construction is designed for field use, including rocky desert washes and creek gravels. The XP classifier withstands typical prospecting conditions and can be packed in a vehicle with other gear. However, avoid stepping on the classifier or placing heavy objects on top of it when it's not stacked with other pans, as this can deform the rim or crack the mesh. The dual handles are molded into the pan body rather than attached separately, so there are no weak points where a handle might snap off under load.
