The reinforced nose cuts through wet sand layers without bending, and the hexagon hole pattern drains water quickly so you can see your target before it washes out. The scoop works in dry sand, but the mixed hole sizing and heavier construction are optimized for wet conditions where drainage speed and structural rigidity matter most. If you're hunting primarily dry sand, a lighter scoop with uniform hole sizing may be more efficient.
