The Lesche Left Serrated Digging Tool has the saw-tooth serrated edge on the left side of the blade when you hold the handle in your hand. The right side carries a smooth sharpened edge for slicing through grass and sod. This configuration lets you rotate the tool depending on if you're cutting roots (serrated side) or making clean turf cuts (smooth side).
