Because it is crafted from premium, aircraft-quality steel tubing and features a rugged heat-treated edge, the blade is exceptionally durable between hunts. However, if you want to protect your other metal detecting gear, vehicle upholstery, or backpack from the sharp serrations during transport, you will need to purchase an aftermarket blade guard or a universal digging tool cover separately.
